Operation Refuge is a unique horse therapy wellness program available free of charge to veterans of Operation Iraqi Freedom (OIF) and Operation Enduring Freedom (OEF) and also available to active military personnel.  Therapy is provided in individual, family, and group formats depending on the needs of the soldier.

The VHT program offers veterans and active military personnel the opportunity to learn the art of horsemanship. Horsemanship training also provides veterans with the opportunity to further develop the leadership and communication skills learned through the military.

Wounded Hero's of America

We are talking with Larry Sparkman about: Venado Macho AKA "WOUNDED HERO'S OF AMERICA"..

Venado Macho" was formed in 1995 by a small town taxidermy and hunting retail family business to be a deer hunting contest in the state of Texas held at the Freer Deer Camp in Freer, Texas.
One of our largest fund raising events for Wounded Hero's of America each year is the Venado Macho hunting contest.  Every hunter that enters is doing so to help a Hero.  Funds are also raised  throughout the year with different raffles.  Our single focus is to give back to our Wounded Hero's that have given so much of themselves.
